CONGO premier

Gorillas were the outright winners in the end, when it comes to the movie CONGO. And that includes investors, studio, and audiences. Regardless of the quality of the movie, its premier and subsequent on-pack video promotion raised $140,000 for gorilla conservation. More importantly, the experience of working with the studio system was invaluable, and the start of my enduring relationship with Hollywood. Between its bijou production offices and palm-shaded mansions, I garnered support for the gorilla cause from some of the movie industry’s finest luminaries, including Sigourney Weaver, Michael Crichton, Kathleen Kennedy, and Leonardo DiCaprio.
