Began my fundraising career in the summer of 1990. Started as a telephone fundraiser at the Handicapped Children’s Trust, in East Ham, London, raising money to buy electronic wheelchairs for handicapped children. Within a month I was leading a team of fundraisers and focusing on getting donations from London’s music and fashion industries. Raised £100,000 in six months and then, together with Jillian Miller, staged a concert in Battersea Park where Doctor and the Medics headlined.
